Dr. Chris DeleckiDr. Delecki is the director of the Dental
Program Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic and the first dentist appointed to the King County Board of Health (BOH), which sets county-wide public health policy and enacts local public health regulations. Dr. Delecki has over 21 years of supervisory, clinical, teaching, management and leadership experience in the U. S. Public Health Service (USPHS) as an employee with the Indian Health Service (IHS) and has developed over 25 oral healthcare prevention programs. He is a committee member on Washington State Oral Health task force for Children with Special Health Care Needs, as well as the a member of the health advisory committee for Seattle Public Schools and ECEAP Head Start programs since 1999. He has served as president of the Seattle-King County Dental Society (SKCDS) and is an active member of the SKCDS Access Committee. |
Learn about CDHCsThe ADA is helping to develop a new member of the oral health team, a Community Dental Health Coordinator (CDHC). CDHCs are community health workers with dental skills focusing on education and prevention, working in underserved communities. CDHC candidates are drawn from the communities in which they will serve and understand the social barriers that prevent access to available oral health services.
